Smaugs Launcher Tutorials — Platform Overview
In this article, we would like to provide a complete, overview of the Smaugs Launcher platform and the core features.
What are the differences of Smaugs Launcher?
We built Smaugs Launcher to adopt a few basic principles.
- All eligible SMG holders will receive allocations.
- All SMG holders, regardless of IDO eligibility, will earn with platform’s success.
- Long-term participants will always be rewarded.
As a result, there are:
- No tier systems that requires minumum stake.
- No whitelists or lottery system.
- Maximum allocations per user.
SMG Token
There are one way to participate in the Smaugs Launcher sales with your SMG:
- IDO Allocation Staking (Single-Sided Staking)
IDO Staking System
In summary, SMG stakers are rewarded in four different ways:
- Deposit Fees
- IDO Allocation Fees
- Ecosystem Rewards
- Allocation in IDO projects
All collected fees are distributed back to SMG stakers.
When you stake, you start to earn SMG and these earnings contribute to determining the amount of allocation from IDO project in the system. That allowances are distributed fairly and widely, while large holders are rewarded according to their stake. As a result, we have a balanced and fair economy for all SMG holders.
Platform Fees Details
Two fees are taken from the activities on the platform. This fees will not be received by the Smaugs and will be distributed back to the SMG stakers.
- Deposit Fee(3%) — This fee is taken to protect previously participating stakers. As new stakers arrive, the APY amount will decrease and the first stakers will lose their profits. To make this balanced, 3% fee will be deducted from each new SMG staking transaction.
- Claim Fee(3%) — When claiming the allocation right from sales, 3% SMG will be distributed to the stakers. For example, when $100 allocation is claimed, $3 SMG will be distributed to the stakers as a reward.
These fees provide a holder first network and allow for some unique features:
Even with a maximum per capita allocation in place, there is still a reason to accumulate SMG.
1. Main Reason to hold is the allocation from sales.
2. As Smaugs Launcher grows, so SMG stakers holdings will also grows.
Small stakers will earn enough to become more meaningful participants in this network. The power from the whales is redistributed into the hands of everyone else, balancing for the entire ecosystem .
Staking Weight
The Smaugs Launcher is designed to reward long-term stakers over time. So, the longer you stake, the more allocation power you will have.
For example, 10 SMGs staked for 10 days will be “heavier” than 10 SMGs staked for 1 day and will have more allocations.
With this logic, the system will always provide a fair distribution to all its investors.
We rewards stakers with more SMG from platform fees and ecosystem rewards. As the Smaugs Launcher grows, the APY and allocation power will be with to your stake grows over time.
- The longer you stake, the more SMG you earn, in addition to allocation.
- Rewards are aligned with platform growth and our community shares.
Round Types
Every IDO on Smaugs Launchpad will be divided into two rounds and occur in the following order:
- Staking Round — Guaranteed Allocations
- Public Round — Guaranteed Allocations
Round Allocations
Each round begins with a different share of the total amount available for sale:
- Staking Round — 90% of the total sale
- Public Round — 10% of the total sale
Anything not sold in the current round will move on to the next round. For example, if only 80% is sold in the “Staking round” (instead of 90%), the remaining 10% will move to the “Public Round”, making it 20% instead of the 10% minimum when it starts.
Eligibility
Each round has different requirements that the user must meet to sign up for that round. A completed KYC is required for all rounds. If you have not completed our KYC process, please do so in our KYC Application.
1. Staking Round
Requirements:
- Connect your wallet Launchpad
- Stake SMG in our Launchpad Stake Pool
- Create an account and complete your KYC Application.
There is no minimum of SMG you must stake, but the more you stake, more allocation will be. Smaugs Launchpad platform offers guaranteed allocations to all stakers, but there is also a maximum allocation set for each sale.
2. Public Round
Requirements:
- Connect your wallet Launchpad
- Create an account and complete your KYC Application.
You do not need to stake SMG to be eligible for this round, but because it is only 10% of the total sale, your allocation is likely to be smaller than the staking round.
Maximum Allocation
The maximum available allocations for each account are determined on a sales basis after registration closes. At this point, qualifying shares are calculated and a maximum allocation is determined for all users based on the all data.
This “allocation calculation” is used to ensure that smaller holders receive the largest possible allocation based on other all factors such as available tokens, number of registered users, and qualified shareholders in the system.
We would like to thank the Avalaunch team, the creator of this launchpad system.
